The script fails, and I don’t see anything in event log.

The web site url is created, however, the process failed to complete.

I don’t see anything in event log.

Where should I look to find the root cause?

Which content pack fails to install?

THere should be an install log file under the c:\contentpacks folder for that content pack.

Please let me know what that shows.

can you provide more info on the environment you are trying to install this into? Like what products you have installed? Windows Server, SQL, Sharepoint, etc..

I would be happy to get on a call with you to discuss the install process and work with you to resolve your issues. Let me know if you would like that help.

I tried setting up all the content packs in the IW2010 image published by Microsoft.  The ECM pack stops with an error "Execution of PowerScript Failed: Autosetup did not complete successfuly".  The installation script where the error is documented is the following:

===============================
 AutoSetup 3.4.7.0 64-Bit Mode
===============================
Loading tasks file "Terms.xml"..... Complete!
------------------------------------------------------------
Parameter "Site" is set to "http://intranet.contoso.com/sites/ECMAllUp".
Parameter "LCID" is set to "1033".
Parameter "AbortTermStoreImportEarly" is set to "True".
Parameter "TermStore" is set to "Managed Metadata Service".
------------------------------------------------------------
ModifyTermStoreTaxonomy:
Add Site Collection Group "Organization Taxonomy"
WARNING: You may not specify the Id of a Group. Ignoring specified Id: 1381254d-0329-497b-baed-9307029f9a3e
 Add Term Set "Campaigns"
   With Id: 3c44fe57-7b0b-435f-93ea-8881ade9d11d
 Add Term Set "Confidentiality"
   With Id: cdc54de4-ee6e-490a-a74c-2511e2964658
------------------------------------------------------------
I examined the offending code in the PowerShell script:

#--------------------------------------------------------------------
# AutoSetup Stuff
#--------------------------------------------------------------------
cd AutoSetup
cmd /c "AutoSetup demo.xml $installationUrl"
cmd /c "AutoSetup Terms.xml $installationUrl"
if (!$LASTEXITCODE -eq 0) { throw "AutoSetup did not complete successfully."; }
cd ..
write-progress -percentcomplete 20 -Activity Installing -Status Installing
The call is using a compiled executable and a configuration file in XML for the termstore items to be imported. The XML contents are:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>
<AutoSetup>
  <MetaData />
  <Parameters>
    <Parameter name="Site" defaultValue="*" />
    <Parameter name="LCID" defaultValue="1033" />
    <Parameter name="AbortTermStoreImportEarly" defaultValue="True" />
    <Parameter name="TermStore" defaultValue="Managed Metadata Service" />
  </Parameters>
  <Tasks>

    <ModifyTermStoreTaxonomy termStore="@TermStore" site="@Site">
  <Add name="Organization Taxonomy" Id="1381254d-0329-497b-baed-9307029f9a3e">

     </Add>

    <Add name="Top Secret" Id="5a416b02-cf2d-4984-a0fc-e34c46829818"/>
   </Add>
 The result is that the Organization Taxonomy term is added and the Campaings term is added, but nothing else is added.
Can someone tell me whats going on? Is there another way around this?
